The American Bar Association selected Michael Homans to speak at the annual Employment Rights and Responsibilities national conference in March, held in Nashville. Homans joined Judge Lynne Ingram of Tennessee, Megan K. Mechak of McGillivary Steele Elkin LLP in Washington, DC, and Jeremy Monteiro of Zipin, Amster & Greenberg, LLC, Silver Spring, Md. Homans discussed his experiences in dealing with unethical counsel in recent cases, including obtaining sanctions in federal court against a lawyer in Boston who secretly whispered answers to a witness during a Zoom deposition and a lawyer in Philadelphia who has repeatedly used “hallucinated” fictional cases created by AI to support his arguments in federal court in Philadelphia. The ABA paper on the topic can be accessed here.
Michael Homans is an employment lawyer and litigator based in Philadelphia and Wayne, Pennsylvania. He can be reached at mhomans@homanspeck.com or 215-419-7477.
