HomansPeck shareholder Michael Homans spoke at the Pennsylvania Bar Institute’s Employment Law Institute on Tuesday, April 21, in Philadelphia, moderating a panel on the topic of “Arbitration Frustration — the Good, the Bad & the Ugly.” Fulltime arbitrator and neutral, Dr. Joan Parker, Ph.D., and Stephanie J. Peet of Jackson Lewis, PC, co-presented. More than 200 employment lawyers and human resources professionals attended the Employment Law Institute, which is the single largest continuing education conference on employment law in Pennsylvania each year. The presentation included such issues as whether the process is fair to plaintiffs, the issue of “repeat player” bias, and whether arbitration is truly more efficient than the courts. Michael’s paper on the topic can be accessed here.
